Article - HPI Blitz Project

Words and photos: Sylvain Lafrance

Since its initial release, the HPI Blitz has become one of the most favorite short course trucks on the market. In our review (Read review) of the Blitz published few months ago, we have discovered that the HPI Blitz was packed of nice features and was at home on a race track as well as in a backyard.

My request to HPI was quite short and simple since I consider the HPI Blitz to be one of the most durable SC truck out of the box. I limited my parts request to HPI and I only upgraded what I thought may need a little help to transform my stock Read-To-Run Blitz into a perfect high performance and durable “sleeper” truck.

This is too bad for the truck, two weeks before the first run in the snow, the truck was waiting somewhere in a warehouse in California where temperature was surely warmer than here.
