Losi swept the 2009 RC Pro Series Quebec!
August 1st and 2nd was the fourth and final round of the Canada RC Pro Series, Quebec division in Drummondville, Qc at the Drummond Offroad RC race club. For the occasion, the local club redesigned a complete new track layout with technical sections and spectacular jumps to the satisfactions of racers and spectators. Unfortunately, the poor weather forecasts for Sunday stopped few racers limiting the total of entries to 71 out of the 90 expected registered initially.
The local club didn’t take any chances and covered the drivers stand and pit area with huge tents to protect racers and equipments.
On a sunny and warm Saturday, the complete day was dedicated to the three first qualifications while Sunday was scheduled for the last qualification and the mains. Early Sunday, the last round of qualification has been canceled due to major problems with the lap counting system. Later on that day, heavy rains have completely soaked the race track and at 3PM, the race director, Pierre Barbeau, had no other choice to cancel the mains.
The race organizers took few minutes to establish the final standings. Meanwhile, all racers were impatiens to know what their final rank will be. Once the final standings have been announced, the top three racers of each class received their prizes under the pit area tent to protect everyone from the rain that never stopped all day long.
Racers received prizes from the Platinum sponsors of the RC Pro Series Canada 2009. Go Engines offered engines, Team Titan RC Precision offered bodies and VP Pro Racing offered tires and others high performance products. All those distributors are imported in Canada by FX Racing Hobby Inc, official sponsor of the event.
So here are the final winners of the 2009 RC Pro Series Quebec.
