Traxxas Slash 4×4
Oh yeah… Another new short course truck!

If the short course trucks class is so popular, we should all give credit to Traxxas for their innovation and effort. The Traxxas Slash is so popular than many race tracks didn’t have any other choice to offer SC race classes. The popularity of the Slash doesn’t stop at the race track; many bashers are also enjoying the Slash. Traxxas continues to sell Slash trucks like hot cakes but this didn’t stop them to release a new Slash but this time, it is 4×4! The new Traxxas Slash 4×4 will definitively have more traction, will be faster  and will be easier to drive than the previous 2wd Slash. Great to bring new comers into the hobby!

The new Slash is not just 4×4, it is also equipped with a Velineon brushless system, a 2.4 GHz radio system, licensed BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires and sealed differentials right from the Revo. Traxxas announces 40MPH right out of the box with the included 3000mAh 7-cell battery pack! Traxxas also claims 80+mph with the direct fit Mamba Monster motor. This is stupid fast!!

Unfortunately, we didn’t have to opportunity to have the Slash 4×4 in our hands yet but from what we have seen on the web, the Slash 4×4 looks even more like a real full scale SC truck with the new licensed BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires. The chassis and components layout is simple for a 4×4 vehicle and it is still easy to work on. No information at this moment, but we can expect to Slash 4×4 to be priced higher than the original Slash due to the 4×4 system, 2.4 GHz radio and the brushless system.

Now time will tell us if the new Slash 4×4 will be as popular as the original Slash. Will we see new race classes soon? My bet is YES!

Stay tuned, MyRCBox.com will do its best to bring you a complete review of the Traxxas Slash 4×4.
