On July 17th, 18th and 19th, the Xtrême RC Club in St-Anaclet, Qc was home of the third round of the Canada RC Pro Series, Québec division. This was the inaugural race for the club. Some racers drove more than 6 hours to compete into this round. With more than 55 entries, this was a serious test for the new race club. Unfortunately, bad weather on Friday and Saturday limited the racers to only one qualify on Sunday morning. There was no place for mistake.

The buggy class was the most popular with a total of 28 entries. The truggy class was also popular followed with the monster truck class. Few racers have bring their LiPo/Brushless 1:8 vehicles for a demo race that was appreciated by the others racers and spectators.
The first class to compete was the monster trucks where Raymond Gagnon (TQ) took the lead and never looked back with his Traxxas Revo. He finished first leading by 12 laps over the second place Patrick Sergerie and David Jean in third.
Next on the track was the truggy intermediate class. Yves Thibault(Jammin’) finished first followed by Joel Daigle (Losi 8ight-T) (TQ) and Chantale Roberge in third.
In the buggy intermediate race, the 10 years old Yannick Leblanc (TQ) broke at mid race after having lead the race. This opened the door to Frederic Proulx (Hyper) to finish first followed by Riel Leblanc in second and by Frederique Perron (Team Associated) in third place.

One of the most anticipated races of the day was the buggy expert class. The track surface didn’t resist long to all those high powered buggies and became rough after five minutes of intense racing. Unfortunately for the top qualifier, Raymond Gagnon, a break puts his Kyosho MP9 out of the race. Daniel Salvas drove his Losi buggy to the top place with 64 laps in 30:32.629. One lap behind Salvas was Hugo Levesque in second followed by Éric Dubé (Mugen) in third.
The last race of the day was the truggy expert. The truggies were faster than the buggies due to the rough track condition and Danny Grenier managed a 66 laps race with his Losi 8ight-T. Another Losi truggy driven by Éric Boucher finished second and Claude Perron (TQ) put his Team Associated RC8T on third place.
This was the first major event held at the Xtrême RC Club race track. The organizers Martin and Valérie did a great job. At the end of the day, everybody was exhausted but happy for having been part of this third round of the RC Pro Series, Québec division. The next round will be held in Drumondville, Qc.
