My Team Associated Monster GT

I bought my Monster GT in june 2004. At this time, the MGT was sold with the Thunder Tiger .21 engine. The MGT is fun to drive, reliable and looks awesome. Since, this day I had few hopups and upgraded the engine to the Thunder Tiger .28 which is now stock with the MGT second edition (4.60 SE).

I first bashed my MGT but now I’m more focused on racing. Since the day I’ve put my truck on the race track, I never bashed again.

Over the time, my Monster GT went trough different engines and setups. I also tested different hopups parts. After all those tests, I concluded that the Monster GT doesn’t need a lot to be where I want it to be. Even if some guys had completely modified the MGT, I still believe that you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars to be competitive and to be on the podium.

I always say, you better spend your money to buy fuel and practice rather than buying non necessary or bling bling parts. The best hopup you can get is practice.
