My Words – Losi Ten-T, is this the beginning of a new class?

While everybody has eyes for 1/8 scale vehicle, Losi took us by surprise with the release of a new 1/10 scale nitro truggy, the Ten-T. The new Ten-T is a real truggy, in fact, it looks exactly like a the 8ight-T. The Ten-T is unique in its own category. Others manufacturers offer 1/10th scale 4wd stadium trucks but none is built like a truggy. The Ten-T is real a 1/10th scale truggy.

The Ten-T comes ready-to-run and is packed with nice features. First, Losi included a Spektrum DX3S radio system with integrated telemetry and a high performance Losi 3.4cc engine. This engine can push the Ten-T near 45MPH. Losi has also included heavy duty 3mm tie rods with captured ends and big bore anodized and threaded 12mm shock. The Zombie Max tires are agressive and excellent on and off the track. But what really makes the Ten-T different and apart from the rest, it is the R.O.S.S. (Remote On-board Starting System) that lets you start the engine by pressing a button on the radio. When pressing the “start” button, the glow plug is ignited and few seconds later, an electric motor starts the engine. That is a cool innovation for new comers. All electronics is powered by an included 7.4V LiPo receiver pack. The charger is also included.

Conclusion:

Is this the beginning of a new class? I hope so! The Ten-t has all it takes to be a hit. It is durable and fast just like a 1/8 truggy and can be raced on race tracks designed for 1/8 scale vehicles. I hope Losi will soon offer a race roller version for the diehard racers out there. I didn’t have the chance to run the Ten-t but I’m pretty excited by what I’ve seen so far.
