The Noux Les Mines GP, located in the city of Noux Les Mines some 50 miles south of Calais, Frances is one of the up-and-coming events in Europe featuring the fastest drivers from France and many drivers from neighboring U.K.
Making the drive and ferry ride for Team Associated was Neil Cragg and his RC8.2. Freshly built and completed the Thursday before the event, Cragg set off across the pond to see how his new ride would stack up against France’s best.
The first time the former BRCA 1:8 champion hit the track in France he was in love. Setting the fastest time in all three rounds of qualifying and a new lap record, it was clear that Cragg’s RC8.2 agreed with him.
Unfortunately, the weather did not agree, and the finals were rained out, causing the organizers to use qualifying order as the final positions. With his dominant qualifying performance, Cragg was awarded the victory and deservedly so. With so many fast racers out of France, it’s impressive for the Englishman to show up and be so dominant on foreign soil. Congratulation to Neil Cragg on the TQ and subsequent victory!
