Sept 25,2011 , Junkyard Racetrack. Serpent cup was held with a graet success and support from the local and out of town players and from DOGBONE HOBBY SHOP. A special guest driver from Netherland Serpent Onroad champion driver, Julius Kolf, was also in town to join the race. There were 3 mains on buggy and 2 mains on truggy with 14 players on each main with a bump up on the finals . Aside from trophies that were up for grab, a Brand New Serpent buggy Kit was also being raffled, a special thank to Dogbone Hobby Shop for sponsoring and making this race so much fun. The qualifying started around 9am with the track being a bit muddy n bumpy due to the rain a day before the raceday. A very exciting event , Serpent having morethan 20 entries on buggy n truggy , followed by Mugen and having for the first time a JQ buggy kit driven by the veteran driver Raffy Abello who TQ’d the overall qualifying. Not a really good day for some top drivers like jordan go, clemen pancho and raffy abello as these drivers encountered different mechanical problems during the finals. Raffy with his JQ buggy had to retire early after 1 lap with a mechanical trouble, jordan go with his X2 truggy had to retire with a diff problem and so was clemen pancho with his Serpent buggy. With clemen n raffy being sidelined during the buggy main, it was jordan who controlled and led the entire Amain finals followed by WERKS engine sponsored driver Nani Tagle, Dennis Lucindo Serpent .
Now on Truggy AMain finals, jordan with his X2 who led early on the race retired after few minutes and it was up to serpent drivers edward, dennis, rico , jopo and mugen driver Jody. About 20 mins left in the finals ,jody on first followed by edward about 1-2 seconds behind runout of fuel and that ended his bid for a podium. Ended the mains with Jody mugen on first, denis serpent second and third felix serpent . Congratulations guys.
The much awaited raffle PRIZE of 1 unit Serpent Buggy Kit was won by Serpent Driver DEXTER SULLERA. Congrats.
