Team Associated SC10 4×4 Dominates Reedy Truck Race of Champions

The Reedy Truck Race of Champions is a unique event on the racing schedule because it’s for trucks only. Team Associated drivers Ryan Maifield, Ryan Cavalieri, Steven Hartson, and other team drivers descended upon the usually high-grip race track of Hot Rod Hobbies to battle for the titles up for grabs at the event.

With the popularity of 4WD Short Course growing like wildfire, the SC10 4×4 showed that it was the truck to beat. Team Associated’s Ryan Cavalieri took his Pro-Line equipped SC10 4×4 to the pole position by setting the fastest time in two of the three qualifiers. Hot on his heels was his teammate, Ryan Maifield, with his JConcepts-outfitted SC10 4×4. These two drivers were the class of the field, setting the fastest times all weekend long and sitting first and second on the grid for the triple A-Main event. Also joining them in the A Main was Team Associated’s Steven Hartson.

As the main events started, in A1 Maifield capitalized on a few uncharacteristic mistakes by Cavalieri and was able to drive his own race out in front. With a similar scenario playing out in A2, Maifield was crowned the overall champion of the Pro4 class at the Reedy Truck Race of Champions with his Reedy/LRP-powered SC10 4×4.
