On Setptember 6th and 7th,RC Fanatic Race Club was the host for the finals of the Canada RC Pro Series, Quebec division. The weather was unsure with rain but the racers were ready. A new technical track layout was made for the final round.

At the first glance, the track was looking easy but the double-double-double and the rockers sections have slowed down many racers. This was the best and the most challenging track layout of the season. The volunteers did a very good job to prepare us and to maintain the track, I had to mention it! Four qualifications were held Saturday. Sunday was reserved for the last qualifications and the finals.

1/8 Buggy - Final

Fastest lap: Jean-Francois Harton
TQ: Pascal Belanger
Winner: Eric Dube

The buggy final was very exciting; the leader changed six times in the first seven minutes of the race. Top qualifier Pascal Belanger had a horrible start and went back to the last position. Eric Dube, Hugo Levesque and Yves Tremblay exchanged the first position many times until lap #12 when Tremblay took the lead. A dumped humppack forced him to let his first position to Paul Poulin.

With less than six minutes to do, mechanical problems forced Poulin to give up. Then, Eric Dube took the lead for the rest of the race. Meanwhile, Marlene Deom was solid and pushed her Kyosho to the second place. Hugo Levesque that never gave up even if he had tires problems during the race finished third.

Truggy - Final

Fastest lap: Dany Bradet
TQ: Dany Bradet
Winner: Dany Bradet

I can resume this race within few words... Jammin' X2. The TQ, Dany Bradet, took the lead from the start and never looked back. His RB powered X2 was fast. In fact, he was faster than all the buggies in the A Main final by at least four seconds.

Meanwhile, Danny Grenier was good second and closely followed by Marlene Deom. With six minutes to do in the final, Deom has managed to pass Grenier and went with the second place. Danny Grenier finished third. This was a very exciting race, the fight for the second place was amazing. This was a great and clean race.

The last words

Unfortunately, all good things always come to an end and this race season is no exception. The Canada RC Pro Series, Quebec division has been a success on and off the track. It has been the occasion for many racers to know others racers from all around the Province of Quebec. I met many new persons because the Pro Series attracted many new and experimented racers.

I really enjoyed writing those race reports. I don't know if I will be back at my keyboard for the next Pro Series season. I still have all the winter to think about it.

I'd like to thank Novarossi USA (www.NovarossiUSA.com) and RC La Shop (www.RCLaShop.com) that accepted to sponsor all the race reports.

A special thank goes to Maryse Ducharme for the nice pictures.

Thanks to all of you that made this possible!!!
