Monster trucks are one of the most popular segments of the RC industry. All monster trucks fans enjoys customizing their trucks in many different ways. Some of them adds lights, oversized shocks or high performance motors or engines. One of the first upgrades are the tires. RC Amoeba offers high quality alloy wheels with a very unique feature that lets you adjust the offset in many different ways. Two types of wheels are offered to better suite your needs, for example the narrow wheels (PN: MW101) offer a Tamiya CR-01 an expansion of offsets to +8mm and extra 5mm (each side) with each additional washer. And the wide version (PN: MW301) offers a Tamiya Super Clod Buster adjustable offset positions from +8mm to +27mm per side, and extra 12mm with additional washer. For the diehard monster trucks fans, an adaptor is available for a multi-wheels wide setup with no limited number of wheels. RC Amoeba sent me a full set of their widest wheels for a test on my Wheely King. All the wheels fits 12mm hexes including the popular trucks like Tamiya CC-01 and CR-01.

I have posted few pages recently about engines but believe it or not, I still can’t decide which engine to buy for my RC8 buggy. Last year, I ran a Novarossi 21 Plus 4 engine, this was a good engine with exceptional run time but this year I’m looking for something different. The “buzz” is to have an engine with the best runtime, it is common to have 10+ minutes per tank. Runtime is great when racing but I don’t plan to race much this season so runtime is not on the top of my list. In fact, I’m more looking for an engine that will hold its tune, will last more than 6 gallon if well treated, be enough powerful to race against more expensive engines and finally, the engine should be under the 200$.
So far, I have focused on those engines. They are listed in preference order:

Pro-Line’s popular Caliber tread is now available for 1:10 Off-Road Buggy. Pick your class, weather it’s Mod or Stock, when it comes to tires… the choice is clear, it’s Pro-Line’s Caliber 2.2″ Buggy Rear Tires.
The Caliber takes tire technology to the next level by optimizing traction, control, balance, and tire wear with its dual-stage design. The smaller top pin penetrates through loose dirt while delivering unbelievable side and forward bite. The base pin works as a support for the top pin while acting as a dual-stage design once the top pin is worn down. You can rely on the base pin for greater tread life wear and it works well on those tracks that are prone to blue-groove or have a super clean surface.
